Open workshop: Anti-Racist & Culturally Responsive Care with Ateh Doula (Macy) Members - FREE (link will be sent in the newsletter and telegram) Non-members - 30EUR What if trauma-informed care isn't trauma-informed for everyone? What if "treating everyone the same" is part of the problem? What if the families you support are navigating barriers that you've never had to think about? This workshop is for doulas, midwives and care practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of how race, culture, migration and power shape the reproductive experiences of a person. Together we'll explore: - why culturally responsive care matters - what racial trauma can look like in the reproductive journey - positionality, power and privilege in the birth space - common ways harm is reproduced unintentionally - how to support experiences we don't personally share - practical ways to make your care more culturally responsive & anti-racist - what many BIPOC and migrant families look for when choosing support - what to do when you get it wrong: accountability, repair and growth Q&A and further resources included. No question is too basic, too awkward or too small. Let's come together to move beyond good intentions and towards providing care for our communities that is culturally responsive, expansive and centred on the wholeness of the people we support."
