What if trauma-informed care isn't trauma-informed for everyone? What if "treating everyone the same" is part of the problem? What if the families you support are navigating barriers that you've never had to think about? This workshop is for doulas, midwives and care practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of how race, culture, migration and power shape the reproductive experiences of a person. Together we'll explore: - why culturally responsive care matters - what racial trauma can look like in the reproductive journey - positionality, power and privilege in the birth space - common ways harm is reproduced unintentionally - how to support experiences we don't personally share - practical ways to make your care more culturally responsive & anti-racist - what many BIPOC and migrant families look for when choosing support - what to do when you get it wrong: accountability, repair and growth
